Julie Chen Moonves will host the reality series that is a huge hit in summer, Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on the 5th of August to begin the 2nd season. Chen Moonves has been an integral part of The Talk since 2010, where she was the host and the moderator. However, her true passion came when she added writer to her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for it. The Talk, her outstanding talk show earned her an Emmy. She was co-hosting CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 and 2010. She was the anchor for The Early Show as well as CBS Morning News. The CBS Television Network broadcasted a half-hour morning news program at the beginning of the day. Chen Moonves also covered the conflict in Iraq, among other major news stories on The Early Show. Chen Moonves was sent to Cairo in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11. In Cairo, she scoured down and talked to the father of hijackers to an eye-opening, fascinating interview. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked with notable newsmakers including the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Queen Rania as well as former Defense Secretary William Cohen and Denzel Washington. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. The program featured stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes, Matthew McConaughey, Mel Brooks, Robert deNiro and Jennifer Lopez. When she was finishing her last academic year at the college, she was an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) as well as producer for ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news channel). She was a desk attendant to ABC News' Nightline program with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is as one of her journalist idols. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel on the Columbia du-Pont-winning premiertime show, Anatomy of a Riot that examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
